Sports Trips
buenos aires, argentina
In Year 8, pupils travel to Buenos Aires (Argentina) to take part in the Sports Tour, an annual event organised by Craighouse School. The group is led by the Director of Sports and six teachers from the Sports Department. Pupils are welcomed by a local school and stay with host families from the community. During the five-day experience, they take part in friendly matches across three sports: hockey, rugby, and volleyball.
portillo
The Outdoor Trip to Portillo is organised by the Middle Section in collaboration with the travel company Latitud 90 and is designed for our Year 6 pupils.
Among the activities, highlights included kayaking on Laguna del Inca, trekking, climbing, campfires, and team-building exercises.
Each class was accompanied by their respective tutors, two PE teachers, and Latitud 90 instructors, who guided the pupils through this experience of connecting with nature and developing collaborative skills.

UK Rugby and Hockey Tour
The Rugby and Hockey Sports Tour takes place every two years during the second semester. During this event, teams compete and represent Craighouse School against schools abroad while also experiencing the culture of the countries they visit.
The 2024 tour featured thrilling matches in Scotland, England, Wales, and Spain. It began in Scotland with an exciting game against St Leonards School, followed by matches at Sedbergh School, Canford School, and Downside School in England. The final fixtures took place at Christ’s College Brecon School in Wales and St Benedict’s School in England.
