Round Square schools share a commitment to values-based education and experiential learning, guided by six key themes—our IDEALS: International Understanding, Democracy, Environmental Stewardship, Adventure, Leadership, and Service. Craighouse became a member of this organisation in 2018.

The spirit of the Round Square IDEALS is linked to 12 key discoveries that students make throughout their learning journey: curiosity, tenacity, courage, compassion, ingenuity, problem-solving skills, self-awareness, a sense of responsibility, appreciation of diversity, commitment to sustainability, communication skills, and teamwork.

Throughout the year, Round Square pupils take part in various trips and attend conferences around the world. In 2024, they travelled to Colombia, Spain, and Romania.

From 2nd to 9th April, Craighouse School had the great honour of hosting the 2025 International Round Square Conference, under the theme "Dare to Dream, Dare to Lead", marking the first time this prestigious event was held in Chile.

Over the course of the week, we welcomed more than 110 delegates from 13 schools across 4 continents, including 60 international students, to reflect on and address major global challenges: democracy, internationalism, environmental stewardship, and community service.
