Round Square schools share a commitment to values-based education and experiential learning, guided by six key themes—our IDEALS: International Understanding, Democracy, Environmental Stewardship, Adventure, Leadership, and Service. Craighouse became a member of this organisation in 2018.

The spirit of the Round Square IDEALS is linked to 12 key discoveries that students make throughout their learning journey: curiosity, tenacity, courage, compassion, ingenuity, problem-solving skills, self-awareness, a sense of responsibility, appreciation of diversity, commitment to sustainability, communication skills, and teamwork.

Throughout the year, Round Square pupils take part in various trips and attend conferences around the world. In 2024, they travelled to Colombia, Spain, and Romania.

From 2nd to 9th April, Craighouse School will have the honour of welcoming student delegations from all corners of the world, who will travel to Chile to take part in the Round Square International Conference—an event being held in our country for the first time.
