OLD GIRLS & BOYS ASSOCIATION

With more than 60 years of history, Craighouse School has educated thousands of men and women, who, upon graduating from Year 12, automatically become Craighouse Old Girls & Old Boys.

At a general assembly held on 10th May 2014, the Craighouse Old Girls and Boys Association was legally established, its statutes were approved, and the first board of directors was elected. José Auil (Class of 1981) was chosen as president, while the following individuals took on roles as directors: Sandra French, Fernanda Siña, Cristián Basauri, Juan Pablo Beheran, Paulina Jalaff, and the unforgettable Eduardo Rumié. It was Eduardo Rumié who, two years earlier in 2012, had begun laying the foundations of this organisation, inviting and encouraging alumni to take part.

The aim of the Craighouse Old Girls & Boys Association is to bring together alumni from all generations, fostering friendship and mutual support. Additionally, it seeks to create opportunities for gathering, learning, collaboration, and community recreation, while supporting those who identify with the school's principles and values, contributing to the future of Craighouse School.

Throughout its years of existence, the Craighouse Old Girls & Boys Association has organised multiple activities to bring alumni together. These range from sports competitions, such as the 'Seven Intergenerations' tournament, to leisure events like the Sunset Music Festival—held in 2017 and 2018—as well as networking meetings, career talks for current students, and professional mentoring, among many others.

Today, they represent more than 5,000 former pupils of Craighouse School, with the challenge of reaching as many of them as possible. To achieve this, they continuously collect alumni data via exalumnos@craighouse.cl and strengthen support networks among their members.

COBS & COGS is a sports club founded in 1972 by former pupils, initially for rugby. After the school became co-educational and the first female students graduated in 1978, women were incorporated into the club, along with field hockey.

We develop these two sports at adult, youth, and developmental levels, and we are affiliated with the Chilean Rugby Federation (Chile Rugby), the Santiago Rugby Association (ARUSA), and the Chilean Hockey Federation (Fehoch).

Currently, with our registered players and their families, we have a community of nearly 2,000 people who share the club’s values—family, camaraderie, and passion—in an environment that promotes both recreation and the achievement of sporting goals.

CARE

This is a volunteer parents’ organisation that develops social projects, initiatives, and charitable service activities within the framework of Craighouse School’s Educational Project.

Its vision is to shape leaders with Craighouse’s core values, who contribute to building a more inclusive and compassionate society in the various fields in which they engage.

Its mission is to work alongside the school and its families to help instil in our children a spirit of solidarity, service, and commitment to both local and global realities, through formative actions that promote social maturity.

In collaboration with the Craighouse community, they develop social projects, initiatives, and service activities across different stages of our children's education, fostering commitment and social awareness.
